Maybe I just don't love STAR WARS movies! I liked it. I liked seeing how the bombers function from the inside. I liked seeing Luke and Princess Leia get another movie. Had a couple of very cool sequences.

Kind of shitty how the weird girl suddenly fell in love with the jock and the hot girl fell in love with the horrible asshole.  Also why did they start smoking weed with the principal outside the door?  Just because the door was now shut?

I really appreciated the simplicity though.

Paprika

I tried to really pay attention to the story this time. I even went back a few times to re-listen to parts where a lot was said quickly. Still, the story here has a lot of confusing aspects, that I'm pretty sure I'm not following.

The whole movie is really well animated, and makes me happy, but the biggest achievement by far is the music. This is easily one of the best film soundtracks ever created. Susumu Hirasawa is a genius. The music is actually the only reason I went back to watch the movie a 2nd time. So most of my points are given for the music!!

I think I liked the movie more watching it in a theater than watching it on youtube. You could feel the music.

needed less formula drama. Stole their drama points from Toy Story 1 and 2. "You are a toy!" is "You're not a superhero." And "You don't know what it's like to be an abandoned toy, owners suck" is "You don't know what it's like to be an abandoned animal, owners suck"

Points for being funnier than I expected though

Every single shot was very symmetrical.

Director Wes Anderson seems to have a very distinct style which is easy to point out. All of his films have an indie look, and a mainstream cast.

I thought I had seen this movie before, but as I watched it and found that I didn't recognize any of it, I realized I had never seen the entire movie before. I thought it would be better. I don't know why they hired the black guy, he wasn't an important character, and barely said anything. LAME. Also, the movie wasn't very funny. +1 for nostalgia action
