Jackass 2.5

I thought Jackass 2.5 was just the name of the special edition dvd for Jackass 2, but it's actually just an hour long documentary about all the stuff they filmed for Jackass 2 but didn't end up putting in the movie. It's got some pretty funny parts, but isn't great. At the end of all the segments someone will usually mention how the bit is only good enough for a dvd extra.

Groundhog Day

Great movie

The Royal Tenenbaums

Every single shot was very symmetrical.

Director Wes Anderson seems to have a very distinct style which is easy to point out. All of his films have an indie look, and a mainstream cast.

Mean Creek

I liked the part when Drake N. Josh died, LOL.

Wow rotten tomatoes gives this movie a 90%. How is that website such a giant FAIL at rating movies?

Forrest Gump

Good, but seemed to drag only very slowly at points. Could have been shorter!!

Human Nature

It was original and had some cool looking parts, but it was kind of boring. Certainly not as good as I was expecting, especially for a Michel Gondry + Charlie Kaufman movie.

"When in doubt, don't ever do what you really want to do" was a good line.

Pineapple Express

Very funny! A little better than Step Brothers because there was a lot more interesting things going on, but I don't know if it was necessarily funnier.

Good! I like how 30 minutes before it's over he wakes up on the beach and you think that it was all a dream, but then he gets put back in the room. Also, when I just watched it the ending was different than how I saw it in theaters. I preferred the one I just saw over the one I saw in the theater, because he ends up being dead and trapped as a ghost in the room, rather than the disappointing ending of him actually getting out of the room alive. I didn't like thinking that when the hour reset, the character would be placed back into a position where the outside world had enough access to him that they could force entry into the room and rescue him.

Why are wireless internet signals and cell phone signals used as such major plot devices in horror films today? I always think it doesn't work. His room seemed to be moving into another dimension, and his door was covered by bricks, and no one could hear him through the walls, but yet the wifi worked? Lame.

OVERALL THOUGH I LIKE THIS MOVIE

Sling Blade

Pretty good. A little too long.

Maybe I'm a bad judge of movies. I'm confused why rotten tomatoes gives this movie a 95% but gives Blow a 55%. Blow was much more entertaining.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Charlie Kaufman is a genius. And I liked all of the cool Michel Gondry style things such as the main guy walking out of Barnes and Noble and straight into the house where he was telling the story.

There were a few plot holes. When people get their memory erased they apparently don't remember the Lacuna company, but at one point the receptionist is talking to someone on the phone and says you can't get the operation done 3 times in one month. Even though this is a pretty funny line, it doesn't really make sense that they would tell people they had had the procedure done before. Also, I didn't understand how the girl in his memory was able to tell him to meet her on the beach in Montauk.
